This integration will help streamline processes, enhance consistency for the development and engineering community, and ensure County standards reflect modern engineering practices and regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe expanded scope of this update allows us to create a more unified, efficient, and user-friendly document for everyone who relies on the ECM,\u201d said John Clack, DPW Professional Standards Engineer. \u201cBy incorporating drainage criteria and modernizing all chapters, we\u2019re improving clarity, supporting responsible development, and reinforcing our commitment to public safety and quality of life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Updated Project Schedule<\/b><\/p>\n<p>To accommodate the broader scope, El Paso County and IMEG have established a revised project timeline consisting of seven phases:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x_xmsonormal\">Phase 1: Project Kickoff \u2013 August 2025 (Complete)<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_xmsonormal\">Phase 2: Standards Assessment \u2013 August\u2013October 2025 (Complete)<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_xmsonormal\">Phase 3: Standards Drafting \u2013 October 2025\u2013August 2026<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_xmsonormal\">Phase 4: 50% Progress Set &amp; Stakeholder Review \u2013 August 2026<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_xmsonormal\">Phase 5: 75% Progress Set &amp; Stakeholder Review \u2013 February 2027<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_xmsonormal\">Phase 6: 90% Progress Set \u2013 April 2027<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_xmsonormal\">Phase 7: Completion &amp; Adoption \u2013 June 2027<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As with any technical project of this scale, the timeline may adjust as needed to ensure accuracy, stakeholder participation, and alignment with regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n<p><b>New Project Website Launches<\/b><\/p>\n<p>El Paso County has launched a new project website to enhance engagement and transparency throughout the update process. The site provides a collaborative platform where community members, ECM users, and stakeholders can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x_xmsonormal\">Comment on ECM topics through the Participate page<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_xmsonormal\">Respond to the online kickoff survey<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_xmsonormal\">Stay informed on project progress and upcoming engagement opportunities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The website is now live at:\u00a0<b><a title=\"http:\/\/www.elpasocountyecm.com\" href=\"http:\/\/www.elpasocountyecm.com\/\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"16\">www.elpasocountyecm.com<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>How to Participate<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Residents, stakeholders, and ECM users are encouraged to provide input and follow project updates through the new website.
