[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]February 19, 2025\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/strong>The El Paso County Board of Commissioners is seeking community-minded citizen volunteers to serve on the El Paso County\u00a0Community Development Advisory Board. Applications for the open position are due by\u00a0March 4, 2025.<\/p>\n

The Community Development Advisory Board is seeking one member currently residing in,\u00a0and able to represent,\u00a0the Town of Calhan.<\/p>\n

On April\u00a01, 2009, El Paso County became an \u201centitlement community\u201d and was awarded a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to carry out a wide range of community development activities directed toward revitalizing neighborhoods, economic development, and providing improved community facilities and services.<\/p>\n

The Community Development Advisory Board (CDAB)\u00a0reviews\u00a0matters\u00a0of importance regarding the CDBG program and makes recommendations to the Board of El Paso County Commissioners concerning community development issues and use of CDBG funds.<\/p>\n

Meetings are typically held on the third Wednesday of the month at 12:30 p.m. (as necessary) at the Economic Development Office at 9 East Vermijo, Colorado Springs, CO\u00a0(across the street from the courthouse).<\/p>\n
