{"id":15776,"date":"2024-10-21T10:48:33","date_gmt":"2024-10-21T16:48:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.elpasoco.com\/?p=15776"},"modified":"2024-10-21T10:48:33","modified_gmt":"2024-10-21T16:48:33","slug":"mamsip-october-21","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.elpasoco.com\/mamsip-october-21\/","title":{"rendered":"Traffic Advisory \u2013 Week of October 21 Military Access, Mobility &amp; Safety Improvement Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong>October 21, 2024 &#8211;<\/strong> There will be overnight right lane closures on northbound South Academy Boulevard between the Bradley Road on-ramp and Milton Proby Parkway on Tuesday, Oct. 22 through Wednesday, Oct. 23, 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. to allow crews to perform drainage work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">A temporary overnight full closure of northbound South Academy Boulevard between I-25 and U.S. 85\/87 is planned for Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. to Monday, Oct. 28, at 4:30 a.m. for Fountain Creek bridge deck repairs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">A detour will be in place:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<li>Northbound South Academy Boulevard traffic will travel I-25 southbound to Mesa Ridge Parkway, turn east to U.S. 85\/87, travel north and re-enter northbound South Academy Boulevard.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;15701&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;right&#8221; onclick=&#8221;img_link_large&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">There will be temporary full closures of east- and westbound Willshire Drive near the pedestrian bridge on Monday, Oct. 21 through Friday, Oct. 25, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to allow crews to install a sound wall near South Academy Boulevard. A detour will be in place: Traffic will use Chadwick Drive and Chadwick Drive or Maxwell Street to enter northbound Wilshire Drive.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">A shift of north- and southbound South Academy Boulevard between Milton Proby Parkway and U.S. 85\/87 towards the center is planned for Wednesday, Oct. 23, 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. for a new lane alignment. Tuesday night, Oct. 22 has also been scheduled as a contingency.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">A shift of east- and westbound South Academy Boulevard between I-25 and Fountain Creek towards the center is ongoing to allow crews to work on the outside lanes, install drainage pipes, and prepare to construct a noise barrier. This alignment will be in place approximately until spring 2025.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Motorists are also advised that the shift of the northbound I-25 off-ramp to northbound South Academy Boulevard to a new alignment is ongoing and will have a short acceleration lane.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Motorists are advised to use caution at all entrance ramps as merge lengths have been shortened.
