September 9, 2024 \u2013 <\/strong>The El Paso County Board of Commissioners is seeking community-minded citizen volunteers to serve on the South Platte Basin Roundtable (SPRT). Applications for the open positions are due by October 8, 2024.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Roundtables were established under HB05-1177 as part of the Inter Basin Compact Committee (IBCC) process to be forums for water discussion and planning on a water basin level and also on a statewide basis.\u00a0 As a portion of El Paso County lies within the South Platte River Basin, the county is allocated a voting seat on the SPRT.<\/p>\n

Meetings are typically held on the second Tuesday of every month from 4:00-7:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

The volunteer application is located at www.elpasoco.com and can be accessed at: https:\/\/bocc.elpasoco.com\/volunteer<\/a><\/p>\n
