August 28, 2024 \u2013 <\/span><\/b>The El Paso County Board of Commissioners seeks a community-minded citizen volunteer to serve on the 4th<\/sup> Judicial District Community Corrections Authority. Applications for the open position are due by September 9, 2024.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 4th<\/sup> Judicial District Community Corrections Authority ensures a coordinated, effective, and efficient community corrections system within El Paso and Teller counties. The Authority is responsible for approving and administering contracts and allocating funds to provide community corrections services and facilities within the 4th<\/sup> Judicial District and advises the El Paso County Board of Commissioners on community corrections matters.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 4th Judicial District Community Corrections Authority is comprised of three citizen-at-large representatives, which includes representation from El Paso and Teller counties.\u00a0The citizen-at-large positions are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of their appointing Board of County Commissioners.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Authority meets approximately six times a year in person with a virtual option, at the Justice Services office, 17 N Spruce Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80905.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 4th<\/sup> Judicial District Community Corrections Authority is seeking one Citizen-at-Large member.<\/span><\/p>\n
