{"id":15039,"date":"2024-06-17T15:12:09","date_gmt":"2024-06-17T21:12:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.elpasoco.com\/?p=15039"},"modified":"2025-09-30T09:23:39","modified_gmt":"2025-09-30T15:23:39","slug":"you-are-invited-to-attend-the-paint-mines-interpretive-park-master-plan-open-house","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.elpasoco.com\/you-are-invited-to-attend-the-paint-mines-interpretive-park-master-plan-open-house\/","title":{"rendered":"You Are Invited to Attend the Paint Mines Interpretive Park  Master Plan Open House!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong>June 17, 2024 &#8211;<\/strong> El Paso County Parks\u00a0and Community Services, along with DHM\u00a0Design,\u00a0invites citizens to attend the\u00a0Paint Mines Interpretive Park\u00a0Master Plan open house, which will be held on Thursday, June\u00a027, 2024, at the\u00a0Bear Creek\u00a0Nature Center,\u00a0245 Bear Creek Road\u00a0in\u00a0Colorado Springs.\u00a0The open house is scheduled from\u00a05:00 p.m. to\u00a06:30 p.m., with a brief presentation at 5:30 p.m.\u00a0The public is invited to learn more about the project and voice opinions about the future of\u00a0Paint Mines Interpretive Park, including recommended improvements, management, and maintenance.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p>The project team members will\u00a0highlight\u00a0the unique\u00a0archaeological and geological\u00a0history of\u00a0the Paint Mines\u00a0and present\u00a0site analysis maps and\u00a0initial\u00a0conceptual\u00a0designs\u00a0for the Master Plan.\u00a0Following the open house, the project team will consider public and stakeholder input during the development of the Master Plan, which will be available for public review in\u00a0fall 2024.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p>Review and adoption by the Park Advisory Board and Board of County Commissioners is anticipated in late 2024 \/ early 2025.
