The Clerk and Recorder\u2019s Office announced the sticker contest will award two winners in each of three categories:<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Elementary School (Grades 1 \u2013 5)<\/li>\n<li>Middle School (Grades 6 \u2013 8)<\/li>\n<li>High School (Grades 9 \u2013 12)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe sticker contest is a great opportunity for young people to illustrate their creativity and be an active participant in this exciting election year,\u201d said Clerk Steve Schleiker. \u201cWe look forward to recognizing their talent and concepts of what it means to say, \u201cI Voted.\u201d We hope this contest helps inspire students to develop a lifelong commitment to our country\u2019s cherished democratic process and to be a future active voter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p>The deadline for entries to be received by the Clerk and Recorder\u2019s Office has been extended to May 3, 2024. Students attending public, private or home schools are eligible to participate in the \u201cI Voted\u201d Student Sticker Contest.\u00a0 To obtain the contest requirements, template, release form, and the address where entries should be mailed, students may contact their school\u2019s administrative office or the Clerk\u2019s Election Department at (719) 575-VOTE (8683), email:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:elections@elpasoco.com\">elections@elpasoco.com<\/a>. Entries also may be dropped off at any County motor vehicle branch office.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p>The selected stickers will be included in mail ballot packets for the 2024 Presidential General Election sent to active registered voters in El Paso County. The stickers also may be used for marketing materials and for future elections. Students with winning designs and their families will be guests for a tour of the Election Department on Election Day, November 5.
