It is calculated by dividing the total cost of needed repairs or system replacements, known as the Physical Condition Budget, by the total replacement value of the facility.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than using the traditional FCI scoring method, the County applies the Life Remaining Scale, which presents facility conditions based on the percentage of useful life remaining. In this approach, a 90% rating signifies that a facility is &#8220;On Track,&#8221; providing a clearer representation of long-term maintenance needs.<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">El Paso County began tracking the condition of facilities using FCI in 2023 and will continue the same method into the future.
